The Leadership St. Pete (LSP) Class of 2026 has selected the Lealman and Asian Neighborhood Family Center (LANFC) for its annual community project, focusing on revitalizing the center’s playground and front entrance to better support local families.
Founded in 2001, LANFC serves Lealman’s diverse population—especially its Vietnamese American residents—by offering essentials like food, tax help, English classes, and robust youth programs.
Chair Debbie Viveiros emphasized the project’s deep impact, highlighting how Lealman’s needs are often overlooked compared to other neighborhoods.
Plans include rebuilding a worn deck and improving the entryway—improvements Executive Director Donna McGill says are crucial for children’s safety.
LSP’s community project selection involved applications, site visits, and presentations, with fundraising underway to reach a $50,000 goal.
A hands-on service day is set for May 16, underscoring LSP’s commitment to leadership through active community involvement. Read More... |
Tampa International Airport has unveiled its final design for the new Airside D terminal, ushering in a major phase of expansion for the region.
This landmark project, approved by the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, will break ground later this year and span roughly 600,000 square feet—the largest terminal in airport history.
Equipped with 16 gates, Airside D is built for both domestic and international flights, supporting a surge in annual passengers from 25 to 35 million by 2037.
Highlights include floor-to-ceiling windows, lush indoor greenery, a dedicated play zone for children, and a tranquil sensory room—all shaped by community feedback.
Travelers will benefit from a streamlined TSA checkpoint, a ground-level arrivals facility, glass boarding bridges with airfield views, and a mezzanine with lounges, retail, and dining options.
With completion slated for 2028 and opening expected in 2029, Airside D will also feature public art while focusing on modern amenities and flexible design.

❄️ Smart Steps for Planning Your Financial Goals This New Year 💰📊
📅 Set Clear & Realistic Goals – Define what you want to achieve this year, whether it’s saving for an emergency fund, paying off debt, or planning a big purchase. Break big goals into smaller, achievable milestones.
📝 Review Last Year’s Spending – Look back at where your money went. Identifying patterns and unnecessary expenses helps you make smarter decisions moving forward.
💳 Create (or Refresh) Your Budget – Build a budget that fits your lifestyle. Make room for essentials, savings, and a little fun so it’s easier to stick with it long-term.
🏦 Pay Yourself First – Automate your savings, even if it’s a small amount. Treat saving like a non-negotiable bill to build consistency throughout the year.
🎯 Prioritize High-Impact Goals – Focus on what will make the biggest difference, such as clearing high-interest debt or growing your emergency fund before taking on new financial commitments.
📉 Cut Costs Strategically – Cancel unused subscriptions, shop smarter, and compare prices before big purchases. Small cuts can add up to big savings over time.
📊 Track Progress & Adjust – Check in on your goals monthly or quarterly. Life changes, and your plan can too — adjusting keeps you on track instead of feeling discouraged.
