Muma BizTown, newly renamed to honor Pam and Les Muma, continues its two-decade tradition of hands-on learning for elementary students across Hillsborough, Pasco, Polk, and Sarasota counties.

 

Through partnerships with local businesses like Tampa General Hospital, Fifth Third Bank, and The UPS Store, about 20,000 students each year step into a vibrant, simulated city, picking up real-world roles—including the chance to serve as mayor.

 

Prior to the experience, students work with teachers to prep for job interviews and get a taste of workplace realities.

 

At BizTown, they earn paychecks, make purchases, and collaborate as young citizens, bringing classroom lessons to life.
