Genesis Automation Healthcare Joins Forces with Kermit and Meperia to Revolutionize Hospital Supply Chain Management |
Genesis Automation Healthcare, an Irish healthtech firm with a U.S. office in St. Petersburg, has been acquired by California-based Diversis Capital.
This strategic move aims to create the first end-to-end healthcare supply chain and inventory management platform by combining Genesis with two other companies, Kermit and Meperia.
Genesis, known for its supply chain automation solutions, has collaborated with clients such as the National Health System of Scotland and Jackson Health System in Miami.
The company's platform manages inventory, addresses safety and compliance concerns associated with living tissue supplies, and tracks critical hospital equipment.
Founder and Vice Chairman Noel O’Hanlon emphasized that Diversis brings valuable partnerships and expertise to help portfolio companies grow faster.
Genesis's St. Petersburg office, located at 360 Central Avenue, will remain operational following the acquisition.
Meperia, based in Vero Beach, Florida, offers a supply chain and procurement intelligence platform that identifies cost-saving opportunities and reduces financial leakage.
Kermit, headquartered in Maryland, provides a bill-only automation and analytics platform for physician preference items, enhancing price transparency and cost reduction for hospitals.
The integration of these companies under the Genesis brand aims to combat waste, financial leakage, compliance risks, and administrative burdens in hospital supply chains.
Ron Nayot, Managing Partner at Diversis Capital, stated that this combination establishes a market leader with the scale, technology, and expertise to drive meaningful change across the industry.
O’Hanlon will continue his involvement with Genesis, and while the St. Petersburg office remains, future changes may occur as the company evolves. |
