Mythos Greek Bistro to Open in December

Authentic Greek Flavors Arrive in St. Petersburg's Grand Central District

St. Petersburg's Grand Central District is set to welcome a new culinary gem as Mythos Greek Bistro prepares to open its doors in December.

Located at 2501 Central Avenue, the bistro occupies the former space of the Salty Nun, which closed earlier this year.

Co-owners Konstantinos "Dinos" Chilias and Danjel Morina, both native Greeks, aim to bring an authentic European dining experience to the area.

Chilias, known for his work at La Creperia Cafe in Ybor City, and Morina, who recently relocated from New York, have collaborated to create a menu rich in traditional Greek recipes.

They plan to import select ingredients and wines directly from Greece to ensure authenticity.

The 3,000-square-foot establishment has undergone significant renovations to reflect a Greek aesthetic, featuring blue and white decor reminiscent of the island of Santorini.

A spacious patio will serve as a focal point, offering ample outdoor seating.

Inside, the dining area and bar have been updated to enhance the Mediterranean ambiance.

Entertainment will be a key component, with live Greek music and DJs scheduled on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Operating hours are set from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, extending until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Future plans include expanding to lunch and brunch services.
